A Look Inside the Machine Room
Development of Our Own HVAC System

As part of Mika Viets’s bachelor’s thesis—Viets is a student at Aachen University of Applied Sciences—sphairlab is currently working on developing its own ventilation system for our cleanroom solutions. This project offers an exciting insight into the development process and the technical challenges involved in optimizing HVAC systems.
Developing our own HVAC system (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) is a key component in increasing sphairlab’s independence and enabling faster and more reliable delivery to our customers. The prototype and the test setup illustrate the project’s progress: While the prototype is already functional, the test setup demonstrates the pragmatic approach often necessary for innovative solutions. Here, measurements are taken, adjustments are made, and optimizations are tested until the system meets the high standards of cleanroom technology.

Developing our own ventilation system allows us to tailor our cleanrooms even more effectively to the specific needs of our customers. Our primary focus is on energy efficiency, flexibility, and user-friendliness. Through our close collaboration with Mika Viets, we are not only able to benefit from academic expertise but also incorporate fresh ideas and new perspectives into our product development.
This project underscores our commitment to advancing cleanroom technology through in-house development and innovation. We look forward to further progress and the results of Mika’s work.
